The 2nd European Barndoor Gathering & Vintage VW Show aka the Ben Pon Show takes place on May 19 + 20, 2018

The 2nd European Barndoor Gatering will take place at Wagenwerkplaats in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.

By car

Navigate to: Piet Mondriaanplein 61, 3812 GZ Amersfoort, the Netherlands and follow the signs to the 2nd European Barndoor Gathering.

By plane

Are you flying to the 2nd European Barndoor Gathering? The Ben Pon Show is only 45 minutes away from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, only 90 minutes away from Rotterdam - The Hague Airport and only 100 minutes away from Eindhoven Airport. It's easy getting from these airports to the 2nd Barndoor Gathering: you can use The Netherlands's reliable public transport network to travel to Amersfoort train station. From here, you can walk to the festival site in about ten minutes.

By train

It's easy to get to the 2nd European Barndoor Gathering by train: please navigate to Amersfoort train station. The 2nd European Barndoor Gathering is only 35 minutes away from Amsterdam Central Station. From here, you can walk to the festival site in about ten minutes.

- 09.30 Gates open.
- 12.00 VEWIB will reveal their VW Samba Bus at their stand!! Be sure to check it out, as they already came such a long way into putting it back together, it will 100% become a diver again!
- 14.00 Record attempt Barndoors line-up. We will be filling up the main ‘red square’ once more to beat our own record of 76!
- 19.30 Party evening inside the ‘Rijtuigenloods’. Entrance is near the entry of the show area (building on the left).

General program:
- All participating vehicles will be places by type. On site parking assists will point you the way.
- Photo Exposition from the Pon Archives will be displayed in the Veerensmederij (building on the right side of the Barndoor square).
- Two ‘Plattewagen’s’ will be on display.
- Food and Drinks available from the foodtruck area. Also the restaurants on site will be serving special dishes.
- Kids will be happy in the bouncy and the indoor skelter area (behind the food-trucks).

- 09.30 Gates open.
- 11.00 The Schwimmwagens will be giving a demo in the lake nearby the show area. You can park your car in front of the Pon Dealer (Industrieweg, Amersfoort).

Children up to 12 year have free entrance.
So if you are older you simply need to buy a ticket just like everyone else entering the show.

Sure! Although the show revolves around the vintage VWs as mentioned in the Line Up, you're welcome to camp and/or visit the show with other aircooled VWs too!
They will be parked on the camping-ground (weekend) or on a special day-visitors parking (day visitor).
All aircooled VWs as mentioned in the Line Up (weekend or day visitors) will be displayed at the show area!

Non aircooled VW cars have to park outside the event area (there is a parking next to the event ground at own cost).

Yes you can! A lot of merchandise is already available via the ticket-shop.

Space is limited, the camping-plots are 4,5x4,5 meters

As mentioned the event takes place in the middle of the city centre of Amersfoort, camping plots are only 4,5x4,5m big and on-site space is limited.
We have permission to use a 2nd field, so we are happy to anounce the on-site camping tickets are available again. But when these are sold out, the whole WWP show area is full, really full. So act fast.

But of course we do have several arrangements with Camping’s and Hotels in the surrounding area. Please visit the INFO page on our website www.BenPon.nl for links and info.

The swapmeet area will be getting a new location on sight comparing to 2014. As the industrial WWP area has been slightly changed and developed over the last 4 years.
Please be there on Saturday morning at 07.00 to get your stand ready you must provide your own shelter and electricity.
The show opens for public at 10.00 o’clock. All ground spaces have free parking for 1 car behind the stand.

There are many different possibilities to sponsor the event.

Remember, this meeting takes place in the city centre of Amersfoort and space is limited and everyone want’s to enjoy and participate the show, so let’s make it work and fit.
On Site Camping plot is 4,5x4,5 meters. Meaning you can park you car and next to that you have space for a little tent and a table and some chairs.

Yes we do have a place to park your trailers out of sight, so bring a lock as it's at your own risk.
But if a trailer isn’t necessary please leave it home because of the limited space.
